As Expected, Hyundai Also Increased Car Prices

In a not so surprising move, Hyundai Nishat Motors has also increased the car prices. Earlier, the other companies including KIA Lucky Motors, Honda Atlas, Toyota Indus, Pak Suzuki and Regal Prince have increased the prices.

The companies have blamed rupee fluctuation, expensive rates of materials, costly shipment and every increasing freight rates.

Hyundai Tucson New Prices

The new prices of two variants of Hyundai Tucson are as follows:

The previous price of Tucson GLS Sport (FWD) was Rs4,979,000 and after seeing an increasing of Rs200,000, the new price of the car is Rs5,179,000.

The second variant,  Tucson Ultimate (AWD),  has also seen an increase of Rs200,000, taking the price to Rs5,669,000 against the old rate of Rs5,469,000.

Hyundai Sonata New Prices 

The first variant, Sonata 2.0L saw a jump of Rs100,000, meaning the new price of this luxury sedan is Rs6,499,000 compared to the previous rate of Rs6,399,000.

Meanwhile, the new price of second variant, Sonata 2.5Lis Rs7,299,000 against the old rate of Rs7,099,000, meaning it saw an increase of Rs200,000.

Hyundai Elantra New Price

The company is offering only one variant in Pakistan named, Elantra 2.0L, and after seeing a hike of Rs100,000, the new price of this car is Rs3,999,000 against the old price of Rs3,899,000.

Note from the Company 

According to the notification by the company:

  • The new price for Elantra and Sonata will be applicable on all orders with allocation of January 2022 and onwards with invoicing date of January 1st, 2022 and onwards.
  • The current price for Elantra and Sonata will be applicable on all partial payment orders for tentative delivery  month till December 2021.
  • The new price for Hyundai Tucson will be applicable on all new orders with booking date of December 1st, 2021 and onwards.
  • The prices are Ex-Factory Faisalabad per unit inclusive of 17% Sales Tax and dealer’s commission.

    Considering the price increase put into effect by I.M.C., Honda and Suzuki, I believe this one seems a bit rational
