Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has shown a compassionate gesture by gifting an Alto car to Hafiz Mohammad Ali, a talented blind vlogger and cricketer.
Ali, who is known for his inspiring journey, had previously expressed his desire for a car to facilitate his daily life. Recognizing his contributions to society, CM Maryam fulfilled his wish.
Hafiz Ali is a multi-talented individual who excels in various fields. He is a skilled cricketer, a talented Na’at reciter, and a knowledgeable cricket commentator. Despite his visual impairment, he utilizes technology to share his insights and passions with the world.
This heartwarming gesture by the Chief Minister highlights the importance of recognizing and supporting individuals with disabilities. By providing Ali with a car, CM Maryam has empowered him to overcome challenges and continue his inspiring work.
Suzuki Alto
In Pakistan, all-new 8th Suzuki Alto was first unveiled at Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) 2019 as a low-budget hatchback with excellent fuel efficiency. The company three variants including:
- Suzuki Alto VX (Non-AC)
- Suzuki Alto VXR (Air-Conditioned)
- Suzuki Alto VXR AGS
- Suzuki Alto VXL AGS (AC with automatic transmission)
The first two variants are mated with a manual transmission whereas the VXL AGS is the automatic version of the car. Importantly, the locally assembled Alto is not equipped with all the features available in the imported Japanese version.
Suzuki Alto features a 660cc engine which is first of its kind in Pakistan’s local automobile industry. The hatchback is launched under both manual and automatic transmission. Note here that the JDM Alto comes in automatic transmission only. The top-of-the-line variant has an auto shift gearbox.
The price of the base variant (VX) of Alto is Rs. Rs. 2,331,000. Whereas, the price of VXR, VXR AGS and top variant is clocked at Rs. 2,707,000, Rs. 2,894,000 and 3,045,000, respectively.

It’s not that CM Punjab gifted as it’s from Public money and not from her own pocket. Had she gifted from her own, then headline seems correct ✅. Every Public money being spent is accountable and it’s not Kingdom here, keeping aside gifting to a blind/ needy one. There are plethora of needy ones here in Pakistan 🇵🇰. Good deed if politicised, looses its very essence.
