After the country’s car industry welcomed a number of electric vehicles, here’s another update translating the way auto sector is gearing itself to enhance the green technology. To date, MG Pakistan was the only Chinese company locally assembling electric vehicles (EVs).
And in a recent update, there is another prominent Chinese planning to build an EV manufacturing plant a chain of showrooms across major cities in the country.
The Plan
The announcement came during a meeting held between a delegation from XinjianJingyi Cheng Group and Amin Ullah Baig, Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), who also serves as the Chairman of the FPCCI Capital Office.
XinjianJingyi Cheng Group operates in five sectors: electromechanical and hydraulic, light power, automotive, international trade, and production and service.
According to Mr. GU, cars serve as the primary mode of transportation in Pakistan. The increasing global oil prices have resulted in a significant rise in gasoline costs, making it crucial for consumers to transition to alternative energy solutions.
He pointed out that electric vehicles offer substantial long-term savings in fuel expenses compared to traditional gasoline-powered cars. Mr. GU also emphasized XinjianJingyi Cheng Group’s commitment to innovation and the advancement of automobiles through modern technology and resource integration.
Another EV Coming Pakistan
Couples of days ago, MG Pakistan launched two electric vehicles MG4 EV and MG ZS EV. And interestingly enough, DFSK EV ‘Seres 3’ is yet to come in the mid of next month.
Before we delve into the details, it is related to mention that ‘Regal Automobiles’ plans to offer both CKD and CBU units with different prices and booking plans.
Price & Booking Details
Here are the price, booking details, and the tentative delivery time of EV Seres 3.
As per the official notification:
- Seres 3 CBU is priced at Rs. 11,799,000. Whereas the booking amount is Rs. 5,000,000 with a tentative delivery time of 90 days. This EV is equipped with a 49.34 kWh battery with a driving range of 403 km.
- Meanwhile, the locally assembled Seres 3 comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,599,000. You can book this car paying Rs. 3,000,000. However, the tentative delivery time of the car is March 2024. Coming to the power of this car, CKD unit of the car is equipped with the same what comes under the hood of CBU unit.
