Ghandhara Nissan Limited (GNL) has notified Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) of procuring a plant and machinery for its Brownfield Project, a manufacturing project.
According to the details, to meet the projected sales, the company is trying its best to expand its plant. Note here that Ghandhara has already signed a manufacturing and licensing agreement with its automotive partner Ghandhara Nissan Ltd. for local production of Datsun models. And to achieve this target, a team has also visited Nissan Motor plant to familiarize itself with the assembly of Datsun cars and to finalize the machinery required for the manufacturing facilities.

Furthermore, the company is also looking for places in major cities as part of its network development plan from where it will sell its Datsun cars and has also shared the request for quotation with the vendors for the auto parts. It is reported that in the initial phase the company will roll out Datsun Go and Go+ in the local market. Additionally, a supplier conference is also planned for the current month.
Ghandhara will invest 4.5 billion Pakistani rupees (about $41 million) over the next four years. The project and the development of a retail network around it will create more than 1,800 jobs. Nissan’s entry in the local market will provide Pakistani customers with a fresh and desirable lineup of cars that are designed and built of modern Japanese engineering.
