Haval H6 HEV vs. Corolla Cross – A Hybrid Faceoff
Haval H6 HEV, Pakistan first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle, is going to be officially launched today. And with that, our new series of comparisons is underway. In this article, we are going to compare the new crossover SUV with Toyota Corolla Cross Premium High Grade, which is the top-of-the-line variant. Although the Cross is an imported CBU car, it is the only hybrid crossover in Pakistan, hence, the comparison.
Dimensions
The H6 is 4653mm long, 1886mm wide, and 1734mm high against 4460mm length, 1825mm width, and 1620mm height of the Corolla Cross, making the former a bigger car than its competitor.
Engine and Transmission
The new crossover, Haval H6, comes with a 1500cc hybrid engine producing 240hp and 530Nm of torque. In comparison, Cross has a 1800cc engine with 168hp and 305Nm of torque, meaning the new vehicle is more powerful and has high speed.
The transmission in H6 is DHT compared to a CVT in the Corolla Cross.
Exterior
Both cars come with LED headlights and backlights, while the alloy wheels on the Haval’s crossover are 19-inch in size compared to the 17-inch ones in Corolla Cross, again giving an edge to the new vehicle. The key type of Haval H6 is keyless entry against smart entry in Toyota’s crossover.
The tailgate in Haval H6 is powered, while Cross offers a powered plus kick sensor in it. Last but not least, both have a panoramic sunroof in them.
Interior
Both cars have electric car seats as the driver seat in Haval H6 is 6-way adjustable with a 4-way adjustable passenger seat. In comparison, the driver seat of Cross is also 6-way adjustable, while the passenger seat is manually 4-way adjustable. The MID display in H6 is 10.25-inch compared to the 7-inch display in its competitor. Moreover, the infotainment touchscreen is 12.3-inch in H6 HEV against 8-inch in Cross. And the number of speakers in the former car is 8, while the latter comes with six.
The additional features in H6’s interior are a wireless charger, heated rear view mirror, atmosphere lights, air purifier, and ventilated seats.
Safety
The number of airbags in H6 HEV is 6, while Cross offers 7. The camera in Sazgar’s car is 360 against the reverse one in Toyota’s car. Furthermore, both crossovers offer Brake Assist (BA), Anit-Lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Parking Brake (EPB).

And these additional features make the Haval H6 HEV extremely safe and sound compared to Corolla Cross.
Price
The current price of Haval H6 HEV is Rs. 9,749,000, while Toyota is selling Corolla Cross for Rs. 13,419,000, making H6 Rs. 3,670,000 cheaper than its competitor, which is a considerable difference.
