HUGE Increase in Prices of All Changan Cars

Earlier this month, all car companies (except Changan and Proton) increased their car prices. KIA took the lead, followed by Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Prince DFSK, Hyundai, and United Motors, all hiked their prices. Two weeks later, Changan has also made the big announcement.

Changan really took its time to think things through as the company has increased the prices by a whopping Rs. 275,000 across the board. New ex-factory prices have already been updated on the Changan official website and are now in effect.

New Prices of Changan Alsvin 

After a price hike of Rs. 275,000 across the lineup, the new price of Changan Alsvin 1.3L Manual Comfort has become Rs. 2,424,000. The base variant’s old price was Rs. 2,149,000.

The new price of Changan Alsvin 1.5L DCT Comfort has become Rs. 2,674,000. The mid variant’s old price was Rs. 2,399,000.

The new price of Changan Alsvin 1.5L DCT Lumiere has become Rs. 2,864,000. The top-of-the-line variant’s old price was Rs. 2,589,000.

New Prices of Changan Karvaan

After an increase of Rs. 275,000, the price of Changan Karvaan Standard has become Rs. 1,674,000. The base variant’s old price was Rs. 1,399,000.

The new price of Changan Karvaan Plus has become Rs. 1,814,000. The upper variant’s old price was Rs. 1,539,000.

New Price of Changan M9

After an increase of Rs. 275,000, the price of Changan M9 is now Rs. 1,509,000. The old rate of the pickup was Rs. 1,234,000.

The last time Changan tried to increase its car prices in August, the government stepped in and asked the company to hold the price hike. Back then, the company was raising the prices by Rs. 120,000 across the lineup. 

We all knew Changan was going to increase the prices sooner or later. But we didn’t expect the prices to rise this much. Anyhow, Alsvin is still the cheapest of all sedans in Pakistan. What are your thoughts on the price increase? Share with us in the comments.
