According to sources, the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, is gearing up to start an automobile assembly plant in Pakistan. The company has partnered with one of Pakistan’s largest companies Nishat Mills Limited, which is owned by Mian Muhammad Mansha.

Previously, the South Korean automaker was assembling and selling automobiles in Pakistan by partnering with Dewan Mushtaq Group. However, the partnership came to an end quite a while ago. Hyundai, since then, had been looking for a partner in Pakistan to re-enter the high potential local automotive market.

Since the MOU has already been signed between Nishat Mills Limited and Hyundai Motor Company, the company will soon start setting up its assembly plant to manufacture passenger as well as commercial vehicles.
