MG 4 Electric has 310 km/Charge Range – Owner Review
The launch of MG 4 Electric in Pakistan took the automotive market by storm with its promising design, attractive features, and impressive electric range. As a British brand, MG Motors offers its customers top-build quality and trusted safety features. Previously, we did a first-look review of MG4, and now we have brought the owner’s review to provide real insight into this all-electric car. So, let’s check out the details of MG4 Electric.
Make, Model, and Variant
This was the latest MG4 electric 2023, the first unit produced by the dealership on special request by the owner.
Purchase Decision
The owner shared that he didn’t have any intention of buying an electric car, but luckily, he went to the launch of MG4, and its style and aesthetics inspired him, eventually leading to the purchase. Having MG HS and Hyundai Tucson previously, its look was the first striking feature that appealed to him about the MG4. Also, he shared that after driving the Audi E-Tron GT and Tesla Model 3, the quality of the MG4 seemed like a fresh breeze.
MG4 Interior
It has an all-black interior with a piano black upholstery contrasting with blue stitching. The D-cut steering gives a modern look to the overall interior. With a seating capacity for 4 persons, there is ample space for storage however, the armrest further improves the overall comfort level.
Technology
MG4 has four driving modes: ECO, Normal, Sport, Custom, and Snow. It has a Radar, Adapting Cruise, Emergency Braking, Lane Keep, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 6 airbags, a manual dimming vanity mirror, and 4 speakers. However, its best feature is the paddle drive option, allowing the driver to choose a self-suited speed.
A few features that don’t go with the overall styling theme are the improper gear position and the wireless charging feature. However, the boot capacity is not enough to keep a spare wheel.
Range and Warranty
MG4 gives a driving range of 310 km with a 3 KWH charger, 51 KWh battery, and a 17-hour charging time. It covers a 50 to 100 charge-time in 40 minutes with a commercial charger costing around 80 Rs/unit. However, the total battery charge costs 4800 rupees. Its warranty is up to 7 years of 150,000 Km, whichever comes first.
MG4 Price in Pakistan
MG4 comes in a price bracket of 11 million with a 3 to 6-month lead time, depending on the current policies.
Undoubtedly, MG4 offers promising dealership opportunities along with a timely parts availability of lights, FRP parts, and battery. However, for other spare parts, customers need to wait for 30 days.
