Pak Suzuki Ends Graphite Grey from All Models
After adding the new Suzuki Every to its local lineup, Pakistan Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC) came with another update for its customers. Pak Suzuki has announced the discontinuation of the Graphite Grey color option for all its vehicle models, effective November 1, 2024.
In communication with its authorized dealerships, PSMC has instructed them to cease accepting new orders for vehicles in this color. The company has not disclosed the reason behind the recent move.
What Could Be Reason?
However, in our opinion, supply chain constraints, changing consumer preferences, cost considerations, production efficiency, branding strategy, regulatory compliances or cost consideration specifically, could be the justifications for this step.
Production Process: The production process for certain colors may be more expensive than others. Discontinuing less popular colors can help reduce costs and improve profitability. Moreover, Reducing the number of available colors can simplify manufacturing processes and inventory management. Fewer color variants might lead to lower production costs and improved efficiency.
Customer Preference: Concerning customer preferences, for vehicles, it can fluctuate over time. However, graphite grey was a popular color choice among Suzuki customers, and its discontinuation has raised questions about the company’s future color palette.
Branding Strategy: Automakers periodically refresh their branding and product offerings. Removing a color option can be part of a broader strategy to enhance the brand’s image or to introduce new, trendy colors.
Suzuki has urged dealerships to strictly adhere to the new guidelines and avoid accepting orders for vehicles in Graphite Grey. Customers interested in purchasing a Suzuki vehicle will now need to choose from the available color options.
As Suzuki continues to evolve its product lineup and cater to changing market trends, it remains to be seen what new colors and design elements will be introduced in the future.
