Pak Suzuki Recalls Alto Over a Faulty Part
Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited has recalled Suzuki Alto, model 2019, 2020 and 2021, in Karachi city. According to a notification on company’s website, Suzuki has decided to start a “service campaign” for Alto units.
“It is suspected that Neck Fuel Filter of these vehicles can be rusted with the passage of time and in the worst condition it may perforated,” the company said. Suzuki has advised the consumers to contact their nearby Suzuki dealers for an appointment and replacement of the affected part.
“This is a nationwide service campaign starting initially from Karachi,” the company concluded.
What is Fuel Filler Neck?
By its name, it is apparent it is the part from where you fill up your car tank. Now, that tube has three parts, the first one is made of metal, then comes the rubber part and the last one is again metal. The Fuel Filler Neck is the first one, where the petrol nozzle fits.
The fault, mentioned by Suzuki, causes rusting and holes in the neck, meaning that rust will be mixed with the petrol and damage the engine. Furthermore, the holes in that neck will also affect the car and its smooth functioning.
So, if you own Suzuki Alto from these model years, visit a nearby dealership as soon as possible. Get an appointment so that you can resolve the issue.
And as mentioned in the notification, the campaign is only for Karachi for the time being. Hopefully, it will be started in other cities very soon.
