Pakistan Suzuki Sales Outperforms All in Sales
When all the market players in the local industry are bearing the brunt of prevailing economic slump, Pakistan Suzuki Motor Corporation (PSMC) has amazing sales figures to present.
Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report has revealed a poor sight of September car sales. Following its Japanese peers Toyota Pakistan and Honda Atlas, new entrant Lucky Motors sales also recorded a sharp down in its sales. But surprisingly, Pak Suzuki has surpassed all its competitors in the market.
Suzuki’s Sales
As per PAMA Reports, Pak Suzuki observed a month-on-month jump of 52% last month, clocking-in at 6,006 units against 3,954 units in August. The uplift in sales volume is led by sales of Swift, Wagon R, and Bolan, which recorded an increase of 137%, 110%, and 168%, respectively.
Moreover, Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company sold 2,327 units of Alto, 751 units of Suzuki Cultus, 766 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 1,263 units of Suzuki Swift, 609 units of Suzuki Bolan, and 245 units of Suzuki Ravi.
Company-Wise Sales Breakdown
- Toyota Indus recorded the lowest sales. The company sold 2,617 units in September against 3,876 units in August – a month-on-month decline of 32%. A sharp decrease in sales of its prominent cars, Corolla/Yaris and Fortuner/Hilux, led to this declining trend.
- Whereas Honda Atlas car sales went down to 1,280 units compared to 1,809 units in August. (MoM decline: 29%)
- Hyundai Nishat faces the same fate. The company witnessed a massive downturn, selling 967 units in Sept-22 compared to 1,929 units in August 2022. (MoM decline: 50%)
It is pertinent to mention that all other car companies, Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton, are not PAMA members. Their sales numbers are not included in the report.
