Tiggo 4 Pro ⚡ Peugeot 2008 ⚡ MG ZS ⚡ KIA Stonic – Battle of Small Crossovers
Chery Tiggo 4 Pro has finally joined the segment of B-Segment crossover SUVs. Earlier, Peugeot 2008 joined the club with a soft launch. We have two other small crossovers in Pakistan. One is younger sibling of Sportage, KIA Stonic. And the other is the younger sibling of MG HS, MG ZS. Let’s put these four competitors head to head and see which one is the best option to buy.
We’ll be comparing the top-of-the-line variants of four B-segment crossovers. So, it’s Tiggo 4 Pro, Peugeot 2008 Allure vs MG ZS vs KIA Stonic EX+.
Size
Here are the dimensions of these four.
Tiggo 4 Pro is 4,318 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,670 mm in height. Meanwhile, MG ZS is 4,314 mm long, 1,809 mm wide, and 1,620 mm tall. Peugeot 2008 is 4,300 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, and 1,550 mm tall. KIA Stonic is 4140 mm long, 1760 mm wide, and 1500 mm tall. So, the latest entrant is the biggest one.
Power
Tiggo 4 Pro is launched with 1.5 Turbocharged CI engine, which produces 145hp and 210Nm of torque.
MG ZS comes with a 1.5-litre VTi-tech engine, capable of producing 112 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
KIA Stonic is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine that produces 99 horsepower and 133 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Peugeot 2008 comes with a 1.2-litre turbo engine that produces 130 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
From what we have on the paper, Tiggo 4 Pro is the most powerful small crossover here.
Looks
Styling-wise, Chery’s crossover has LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED Rear Lamp. Furthermore, it has sunroof, roof rails and boneless wipers at front and back.
The French car, 2008 Allure (the upper variant) is the perfect definition of European beauty. The crossover’s beautiful chrome grille, signature 3-claw LED headlights, and DRLs give it a sporty and aggressive look.
On second place is Stonic EX+ with KIA’s signature tiger-nose grille with LED headlights, DRLs, and 16-inch alloy rims.
ZS comes last because looks are not its strongest suit. The car has a somewhat outdated appearance with a prominent front grille, halogen projection headlight design, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Everything’s fine with the MG ZS, but nothing really strikes out.
Hence, Peugeot 2008 Allure has the best looks.
Features
The salient features in Tiggo 4 Pro has 6-way manual adjustable driving seat, 4-way manual passenger seat, cruise control, Reverse Camera, Immobilizer, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Push start and smart key entry are the common features in all four cars. For the differences, we have an 8-inch touchscreen in Stonic EX+ and ZS, 7-inch touchscreen in 2008 Allure and 10.25-inch Central Console HD Infotainment System in Tiggo 4.
Then, we have automatic climate control system in Stonic EX+ and 2008 Allure and analog air conditioning in ZS. And 4 Pro has 8-inch LCD Single Zone Automatic AC.
2008 Allure has premium TEP material seats with grey stitching. Stonic EX+ has fabric and artificial leather seats with yellow accents, ZS has premium fabric seats and finally, 4 Pro has PVC seats.
2008 Allure and Tiggo 4 Pro has exciting add-on of panoramic sunroof, making the top runners of this segment.
Safety
Tiggo 4 Pro has 2 airbags, while rest three cars have six airbags. The similar safety features in these cars are Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Electric Parking Brake (EPB), and cruise control.
The French crossover has extra features such as High Beam Assist (HBA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Assist, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Front Parking Sensor, making it safer than its Chinese and South-Korean rivals.
Again, 2008 Allure is the safest small crossover in town.
Price
Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is launched in price tag of Rs. 4,599,000. 2008 Allure comes at Rs. 5,850,000, while ZS costs Rs. 4,399,000, and KIA Stonic EX+ has a price tag of Rs. 4,450,000. This means Tiggo 4 Pro is the most affordable among all.
Considering the huge price gaps, Tiggo 4 Pro is our pick here.
Number one Kia Stonic, second MG ZS and THIRD WITH LOOTING PRICE frangile engine, car with problems Peugeot 2008.
I hope Proton will bring the premium X-50, with a affordable mind blowing price.
