- All service stations in Punjab must install water recycling systems by February 28. Non-compliance will result in heavy penalties.
- Immediate action has been ordered against unauthorized car wash stations that consume excessive groundwater.
- Using oil-based substances for vehicle cleaning is now prohibited, as these chemicals harm both water resources and the environment.
- Construction sites are also under scrutiny, as they are no longer allowed to use groundwater indiscriminately.
To ensure these regulations are effectively implemented, a special committee has been formed. This team includes Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Secretary of Environment Raja Jahangir, and Director General of Environmental Protection, Imran Hamed Sheikh. Their primary responsibility is to oversee enforcement and take strict action against violators.
