TDCP 9th Thal Desert Rally to Be Held from November 7

Happy times are ahead for jeep racers as the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has announced the dates of the next Thal Desert Rally. According to the details, the race will be held from November 7 to November 10, 2024, in District Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Layyah.  There will be several categories, including Prepared, Stock, Women, Veteran, Dirt Bike, and Quad Bike.

Thal Desert Rally Schedule 

As per TDCP, here is the schedule of the three-day desert rally:

  • On November 7, registration, tagging, technical inspection, and medical checkup will be done in Changa Manga Tella, Kot Adu. Furthermore, driver navigators conferences and draws will be held on the same day in DHA, Multan.
  • On November 8, qualifying rounds will be held based on draws and Shah Swari in Changa Manga Tella, Kot Addu. The day will end with jhomar, tent pegging, and kabaddi at the same venue.
  • The next day, November 9, will have a Stock Category Race, tent pegging, followed by kabaddi, and cultural nights with fireworks in Chubara District, Layyah.
  • The last day, November 10, will have multiple races, including the Prepared and Women Category, Dirt Bike, and Quad Bike. The day will end with a cultural night and a prize distribution ceremony.

The desert jeep rally has become quite popular in Pakistan in the past few years. A number of new names and drivers from both local and international circuits have been participating in these events. Becoming famous for the Cholistan Rally, this sport has come a long way in the country, and Thal Jeep Rally is one of the major events bringing it to its current spot.

The rallies not only open new horizons for the drivers but also help promote the local culture of the host regions, such as South Punjab.
