Last week someone leaked the images of the upcoming Toyota Tundra 2022 TRD Sport. Toyota thought, ‘Well, there’s nothing much left to hide, is there?’ and shared an official photo of the new pickup truck. But the caption proves that the company didn’t have fun at the leak party.

When asked about why all the secrets, Toyota sarcastically replied, “We can’t reveal ALL of our secrets just yet.”, and directed the audience to the website link to know more about the 2022 Toyota Tundra.
Apparently, Toyota hosted a virtual reveal event for the dealers on June 17 to give them a preview of the 2022 Tundra. Someone got snap happy with a camera and took a few pictures of the Tundra on their computer screen. The shots blew up the internet within just a few minutes. Here they are.
Everyone tried to have a good look at the new Tundra, but the leaked pictures were all blurry and fuzzy. Now, this one is much clearer and satisfying to look at, and the new full-size truck looks aggressive, to say the least.
What do the looks say?
The official image shows that the new Tundra has adopted a much more athletic personality. The aggressive TRD Pro nose stuffed with LED lights, oh come on, Toyota. Yeh cheez! Similar TRD Pro stamping in the tailgate fits with the whole vibe. While at the rear, say hello to the seven-spoke alloy wheels.
What’s under the hood?
Toyota has already confirmed that the new Tundra’s base engine will be more powerful than the mighty 5.7-L V8. It will bring more efficiency, less weight, and lower CO2 emissions. Rumour has it that a V6 Turbocharged engine might be the one. Another rumour suggests that Toyota might offer this beast with a hybrid powertrain.
At this point, the question is when will Toyota officially reveal the 2022 Toyota Tundra. Earlier, we had the news about the company breaking cover sometime around September 2022. But with all the teasers and the drama, we suspect that a proper debut could be just around the corner.
