Yamaha Bike Prices Increased up to Rs. 15,500
Yamaha Motor Pakistan has increased the Yamaha bike prices once again. It is essential to mention that the bike assembler hiked the rates on March 31, 2023, by upto massive Rs. 38,500 . Like before, the company has not shared the reasons for this increase as well, but the possible causes are the same, including issues in imports, unavailability of raw materials and of course, rupee devaluation of PKR against the US dollar.
New Yamaha Bike Prices
As per the company’s notification, the new prices are as follows:
- Yamaha YB125Z (Red/Black) price has seen a jump of Rs. 13,500, and now it will cost Rs. 356,000 compared to the old rate of Rs.342,500.
- The new price of the company’s second bike, Yamaha YB125Z-DX (Red/Blue/Black), is Rs. 381,500 compared to Rs. 366,500. Meaning the price has been increased by Rs. 15,000.
- And the third one is the Yamaha YBR 125 (Red/Blue/Black), which has observed a jump of Rs. 15,000, taking the price to Rs. 391,500 against the previous Rs. 376,500.
- Meanwhile, the new price of YBR125G (Red/Black) is Rs. 407,000 compared to the previous price of Rs. 391,000. Its price has also seen a jump of Rs. 15,500.
- The new price of Yamaha YBR125G (Matt Dark Gray) is Rs. 410,000 against the old rate of Rs. 394,000. So, now you must pay an extra amount of Rs. 15,500.
The current market situation, for both bikes and cars, in Pakistan is volatile due to the reasons mentioned above. However, some market experts believe these companies are also responsible for these continuous price increases because they have worked in the local market for decades. However, most of them have yet to achieve total localization, despite their claims. Like car companies, Yamaha and Suzuki’s bikes import the major components directly linked to the forex exchange. Even after decades, the situation would have been relatively better if these companies had become proper manufacturers instead of mere assemblers.
