Customs Intelligence confiscates 8 smuggled heavy bikes in Lahore

In a recent incident, on Wednesday, 18th July 2018, Customs Intelligence has confiscated eight smuggled heavy bikes from Samnabad area of Lahore.

For the past many days, law enforcement agencies throughout Pakistan have become very vigilant and taking actions against car thefts and other crimes.

As per reports by a local media outlet City 42, Customs Intelligence on Wednesday raided ABC Motorsports in Samanabad, Lahore and seized eight heavy bikes, which were smuggled and were ready to be sold out to new customers. The total worth of these bikes is over 50 lacs. The customs officials raided the ABC Motorsports after receiving the information that the smuggled bikes have landed in the shop.

The customs team in the lead of Superintendent Muhammad Sarwar raided the shop and seized the motorbikes.

Aside from Customs officials seizing the heavy bikes, the Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) arrested two professional bike lifters namely Mohammad Ashraf Khokhar and Sabir Khokhar in Karachi. The culprits, in 25 years, had stolen over 2000 bikes in the city. The criminals also claim to have received 5000 per each successful bike robbery.

Moreover, the Islamabad Police on Wednesday, 18th July 2018 also revealed that the authority had recovered 108 stolen cars and arrested 85 car thieves this year, so far.
