Motoring enthusiasts have been anticipating the unveiling of the sixth electric vehicle from Tesla, the Cybertruck. This is an all-electric pickup truck that is made of super hard stainless steel. The unveiling of the Cybertruck occurred at the design studio of Tesla Motors. The Cybertruck was scheduled to be unveiled earlier this year; however, Tesla delayed it till November. The single motor version is priced at $39,900, dual-motor at $49,900, and the tri-motor at $69,900. Elon Musk has previously described the Cybertruck as a truck straight out of the Blade Runner movie. Tesla will not start the production of this truck for at least two more years. However, it has started taking deposits for the base model. Musk has been working on an all-electric truck since 2012.

Exterior and Interior

The stainless steel exoskeleton body frame provides the Cybertruck rigidity and strength. This material is ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel, which is absolutely impenetrable. The design language of the Cybertruck constitutes sharp edges and a monoplane design. According to Elon Musk, this truck also has resistance to a 9mm handgun. This truck has a towing capacity of up to 14000 pounds. There are cameras all around the truck to make parking and going through tight spaces easier and convenient. The Cybertruck has auto park and full self-driving to make driving around the city easier. The interior is spacious and can fit up to six passengers. An onboard air compressor can also be found in the Cybertruck as it comes equipped with a dynamic air suspension. Adaptive air suspension and autopilot are both standard features. The approach angle is 35 degrees, and the departure angle is 28 degrees.

The boot is spacious enough to carry an electric RV. The interior will have a center-mounted 17-inch infotainment screen. The interior design is simple and minimalist, and it resembles that of Model 3. The total storage capacity of the Cybertruck is 100 cubic feet. From the outside, this truck resembles a space tank, and it is even made up of materials that a spacecraft would use. The bullet-proof nature of the Cybertruck gives it a tough and rigid appearance. The exterior dimensions are similar to that of a Ford F-150. There are 110 and 220 volts power outlets on board the Cybertruck that can be used to charge electronic devices and even an electric RV. The lower center of gravity helps in improving traction at high speeds. The rear vault/bed can be covered with a strong magic tonneau cover.

Engine and Performance

The Cybertruck will come with both single, dual and tri motors and all-wheel-drive system. The top-of-the-line model with three motors has an electric range of more than 500 miles. The Cybertruck is expected to reach 60mph from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds. It will be the fastest production truck once it hits the roads. It also has a payload capacity of 3500 pounds. If you are interested in full self-driving, you can add it to any model in $7000.
