So, a great news for car enthusiasts and consumers as car prices are expectedly coming down after the new Auto Policy (2021-2026). As we reported earlier, Federal Excise Duty (FED) will be decreased by 2.5% on all cars. Now Updates are, After upto 850cc cars, prices for 1000cc cars are also going down after reduction in sales tax from 17% to 12.5 % and FED from 2.5% to 0%. So, here are the new tentative prices of 1000cc cars. As per our calculation, the prices of this section will now reduce by 6.3%.
It is pertinent to mention that we have already shared the new rates of cars up to 850cc. Furthermore, these are the Ex-Factory prices of vehicles.
Suzuki Wagon R:
First, let us discuss the new expected prices of Suzuki’s one of the most popular cars, Suzuki Wagon R, which has three variants. The first variant is Wagon R AGS, and its price will decrease by Rs 119,000, and now it will cost Rs 1,771,000 against its current rate of Rs1,890,000.
The second variant, Wagon R VXL, will see a drop of Rs 109,000 , and its new price will be Rs 1,621,000 against its existing price of Rs1,730,000. The revised price of Wagon R VXR, is going to be Rs 1,537,000 as compared to its old rate of Rs1,640,000, meaning Rs103,000 will be cut from its price.
Suzuki Cultus:
The second Suzuki car in this category is Cultus, which also comes in three variants. The first one, Cultus VXR, will see a price cut of Rs 112,000 and will cost Rs 1,668,000 against its existing rate of Rs1,780,000. The price of second variant, Cultus VXL, will reduce by Rs124,000. The current price of the vehicle is Rs1,970,000 and will reach to Rs1,846,000 after the decrease.
Lastly, the top of the line variant, Cultus AGS, will see a decline of Rs 134,000. The previous price of this car was Rs2,130,000, and new rate is going to be Rs1,996,000
Changan Karvaan:
The third car in this category is Changan Karvaan Base Model 1.0, a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV). The price of this car will see a decline of Rs 94,000. The old price of this car was Rs1,490,000, and its rate will be Rs1,396,000.
KIA Picanto 1.0 A/T:
The hatchback by KIA will get a price reduction of Rs129,000, as its old price was Rs2,049,000, and new expected price will be Rs 1,920,000.
