There’s no denying to the fact that 1 series is one of the most iconic small cars from BMW present in the motoring kingdom. Everyone had sky-high expectations from the all-new model, and without a second thought, it can be said that BMW didn’t disappoint us. 1 Series is one of the very few cars that offer a great blend of luxury, comfort, and performance. This successful strategy makes it one of the best-selling BMW of all time, and this car might be the best one in the segment right now.
This all-new BMW 1 series, has been introduced with some significant improvements. From changes in the design of grills to controversial shift from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive. This new BMW features bigger kidney grills than before and follows the model of its bigger siblings with kidneys merging in the middle. M135i has its design of kidney grill with a mesh pattern in a unique grey color replacing the standard bars to help mark it out while the car’s new face is completed with new slanting headlights which you can also equip as full LED’s. While on the rear, the spoiler is longer than the standard model and has a slight upturn which, according to BMW, helps in aerodynamics. The significant change of switch from rear-wheel drive to front wheel drive makes this model shorter than the previous model while there is more room inside. So adults will have no complaints about cramped interiors. Real wheel drive also means Focusing more on inside of the car; there is more headroom, elbow room, and headroom.
As standard, the new one series gets a 9-inch touchscreen on the dashboard which can also be operated with gesture controls if you are into that sort of things. As with all BMW models, the latest 1 series will be available with a wide variety of driver aids and tech. The new BMW comes with BMW’s intelligent personal assistant who works like Apple’s Siri, and you can activate it by saying “hi, BMW.” There is also a new parking and traffic jam assist which reverse out the car itself if you get your vehicle stuck in confined places. Impressive, isn’t it!

According to the company, BMW Engineers spent five years developing the cars front wheel drive so that it drives better than most front wheel drive cars. They also have fitted contiguous wheel slip limitation, which helps to improve traction.
This new BMW will be available with a range of petrol and diesel powered engine which we have already seen in the Mini Cooper and the 2 series active tourer. There is three-cylinder 1.5-liter turbo petrol that’s capable of going from 0 to 60 in just 8.5 seconds which is not crazy fast but still good for most owners. Meanwhile, you can also get a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder diesel that should be good for 70-miles per gallon or the 2-liter diesel which should manage around 65 miles per gallon while the higher powered all-wheel-drive version x120 will also get up to 60 miles per gallon according to BMW. And of course, both manual and automatic gearboxes are available with each variant of the 1 Series.
The first model is expected to kick off towards the end of the year, which will be starting around $25,000, and the diesel version will cost a few thousand dollars more. One series is not particularly popular in Pakistan due to its hatchback style and previous models being not spacious enough but let’s see if this version makes up a good name for itself.
