At last, some good news coming from automaker Nissan as the current year was not so good for Nissan as well as for many other automakers, be it BMW or Honda. Some are facing production halt while some are paying huge money to people to settle sue cases. Moreover, some have even recalled a million vehicles. So in simple terms, the good news is that Japanese automaker Nissan has announced that it has opened its domestic production plants which were closed due to inspection scandal which diminished the face of Nissan and forced the company to halt its production in domestic market—in Japan.

In the previous month, the transport ministry of Japan revealed that it had discovered that uncertified technicians at Nissan’s production plant used the official stamp of certified technicians to conclude the final inspection of the vehicles.

According to a media outlet, the Japanese automaker has opened all its domestic productions plants from today. However, the interesting thing here is that the company is not opening its production plant located in Kyoto and the reason why the company is not opening the one in Kyoto is still unknown.

The company has issued an apology which states that the company regrets with this recent incident which has caused great worry to our esteemed and valued customers and other stakeholders in Japan. The recent incident has shaken Nissan to its core and its car sales in last month saw a dip.

Japanese automaker produced around 1.015 million vehicles in the last fiscal year to the month of March. Additionally, the company has also asserted that it has taken stern and conclusive steps to ensure that the final inspection phase of a vehicle doesn’t break any Japanese regulation.

In my opinion, Nissan did what was needed. The company aborted all operations and solved all the problems instead of unnecessary confrontation.
