PAMA – Car Sales Decreased By 5% Last Month
This month, we bring you an updated analysis of the financial performance of local car manufacturers, focusing on the sales data from the previous month. Our report offers an in-depth look at the best-selling vehicles, key industry players, and insights from the latest statistics published by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).
Car Sales
After experiencing an 8% dip in March, car sales have seen another decrease of 5% in April. According to the latest figures, local manufacturers sold 10,596 vehicles last month, down from 11,098 units in March. Despite this decline, there has been a slight year-on-year increase of 40%, with 111,464 units sold during during the first 10 months of FY25.
Motorcycles and Three-Wheelers
The sale of local motorcycles and three-wheelers saw a notable 6% increase last month, reaching 135,721 units compared to 127,624 in March. Year-on-year, sales surged by 26%, up from 107,590 units sold in April 2024.
Atlas Honda, recorded month-on-month increase of 9%, selling 115,300 units in last month compared to 106,203 units in March 25.
Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki sales decreased by 21%. The company sold 1,892 bikes in April 2025, up from 2,396 units in March 25.
Yamaha Pakistan sold 499 bikes last month compared to 472 units in March 2025. Similarly, United Auto Motorcycle managed to sell 13,294 bikes last month.
Trucks & Buses
Sales of trucks and buses have been increased by 13% last month selling 520 units last month compared to 460 in March 2024.
Company-Wise Sales Breakdown
- Toyota Pakistan’s sales surged by 4%, selling 3,259 units last month compared to 3,131 vehicles in March 25.
- Pak Suzuki Motors Company(PSMC) sales also reduced by 12%, selling 4,003 vehicles in this April against 4,538 cars in March 2025.
- However, Honda Atlas, saw a jump of 20%, selling 1,707 units last month compared to 1,428 units in March 25.
- Hyundai Nishatsales went down by 5%, selling 900 units last month compared to 952 units in March 25.
- Moreover, Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) sales declined by significant 42% vehicles last month, selling 549 vehicles last month against 943 this March.
It is worth mentioning that sales numbers for Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton are not included in the report as they are not PAMA members.
Car-Wise Sales Breakdown
Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) sold 2,276 units of Alto, 146 units of Suzuki Cultus, 84 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 671 units of Suzuki Swift, 503 units of Suzuki Ravi and 323 units of Every.
Toyota Indus sold 2,516 units of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross and 743 units of Fortuner and IMVs.
Honda Atlas sold 1,574 units of City and Civic, and 133 units of BR-V and HR-V.
Hyundai Nishat sold 218 units of Elantra, 196 units of Sonata, 351 units of Porter, 5 units of Tucson and 130 units of Santa Fe. Similarly, Sazgar Engineering sold 539 units of Haval series.
