Peugeot 2008 Matches My Personality – Maaz Safdar
Today, we’re back with the Owner’s review of the Peugeot 2008, which is owned by a famous vlogger Maaz Safdar. At such a young age, this Pakistani content creator has bought his first car so let’s get to know more about his experience with the Peugeot 2008 so far. This particular car is the Active variant, the entry-level variant of this French crossover. It has a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine that produces 130hp and 230Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Purchase Decision
The Owner initially started with a budget of Rs. 4 million, but all the crossovers were above that range, so he increased his budget. The reason for choosing Peugeot 2008 specifically among all the crossovers was its modern styling that, according to him, matched his personality, while the others had a relatively mature look. He chose the active variant over the allure because the price differential was high and the added features didn’t seem necessary to him. He bought the car for Rs. 5.4 million.
Drive
The Peugeot 2008 has got many praises regarding its drive and engine power. The 1.2-liter turbo engine is small in displacement but provides an impressive acceleration due to its 230Nms of torque. The Owner also seems to enjoy the car as it is fun to drive and provides good performance.
Fuel Average
The car is very efficient, be it performance or fuel consumption. The owner gets a fuel average of 10 to 12 km/l within the city on normal driving. This average is less than the company’s claims, but it’s still good.
AC Performance
The owner is very impressed by the air conditioning as it performs really well even in harsh weather. It has digital climate control but misses out on rear AC vents, but still, the cooling is sufficient for all passengers.
Interior Space and Comfort
Contrary to its compact exterior look, the interior space is perfect for front and rear passengers and is very comfortable. The rear leg space is a bit less than other crossovers in the market, but overall comfort is satisfactory.
Spare Parts
The car is driven less than 1000 kilometers, so maintenance is still due, but the spare parts are very expensive. The owner wanted to change the headlights and install Allure LED lights, but he changed his mind after knowing that it cost Rs 2.5 lacs. Availability is not an issue as parts are available at the dealership, but they are very costly.
One of the world worst brand.
