Super Power Dollar 70 vs Honda CD70 | Local vs. Japanese

For the Karachi folks out there, if you’re in the mood for a good laugh, allow us to introduce the 2025 Super Power “Dollar 70.” This motorcycle brand is very popular in the city – and if you’re a resident, chances are you already know about it. Now, they’ve rolled out two new stickers in their Dollar 70: one is the “Special/Chrome Edition,” which seems to be a new variant but apparently copied from Atlas Honda CG 125 Gold Edition, and the other is a more simple Dollar 70 with 2025 new stickers.

Following the tradition of local bike companies, Super Power also followed the mantra:

  • Creating own design: ❌
  • Simply updating “graphics”:
  • Mixing design of CG125 Special Edition in CD70 shape: ✅

2025 Super Power Dollar 70

The standard “Dollar 70” stickers are quite basic, featuring simple lines that don’t offer any standout or sporty appeal. They come in routine colors—mainly red with a couple of dull stripes—nothing that really catches the eye. There’s no extra detailing or creativity here, just a straightforward design that some might even call unimpressive and rest; the whole bike is a copy-paste of CD70, a pattern every Chinese/local bike has followed.

However, this edition is a familiar sight in Karachi, and many say it even outsells the well-known Honda CD70. Nobody’s entirely sure why—maybe it’s the lower price, a strong local presence, or just word-of-mouth. Unlike the flashy Chrome Edition, this standard version skips the fancy chrome and gold decals. Still, it gets the job done for daily commutes, and that seems to be enough to keep Karachi’s riders coming back for more.

CG125’s Special Edition in Budget

Now, coming to the new chrome variant, the designer apparently surely thought that copying the CG125 Special Edition and Golden Edition’s paint job was too good an opportunity to pass up. So they splashed the similar gold lines on the tank and, for that extra bit of flair, made the side covers chrome—another CG125’s Special Edition hallmark:

However, they seemed to have skipped a chapter because the rear suspension coils ended up in black. Perhaps it’s some abstract art statement, or maybe they just got tired halfway through painting. We’ll never know.

They copied it so well that even the side indicators are of the exact same design as the golden edition CG125 with the same transparent glass and orange bulb combination that Atlas Honda introduced in the Golden Edition :

The Black Cylinder

The engine design further adds to the confusion. While they copied different parts from different Honda bikes, they decided to leave the cylinder looking like something from a much older CD70. It’s got this black finish that used to come in 2021 and older models of Honda 70s. Maybe they thought no one would notice.

For your information, Atlas Honda introduced a silver cylinder in the CD70 model in 2022, explaining that it is made of aluminum. This silver cylinder replaces the older black cylinder, which was constructed from cast iron. The aluminum cylinder dissipates heat more effectively, thereby extending the engine’s overall lifespan.

Unfortunately, Super Power forgot to copy that thing from CD70.

  1. ABC says

Shameful comparison, in your wording all things are copied by CG 125. First look the company value difference, if a local manufacturer make same thing in low and u comparing a Multinational firm a world Wide Brand. From how many years Honda made same model with same specification. Count the years of Honda manufacturing.
