Toyota Indus has relaunched the Toyota Revo with a new diesel engine and a bunch of new features. The 2018 Toyota Revo has been launched with an all-new 2.8L diesel engine. Well now we know why the booking was closed; Toyota was planning to introduce a new motor. Previously, Revo was available with the older 3.0L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The new Revo comes with a bunch of more features but before we get to those, let’s talk about the new engine first.
As mentioned above Toyota has introduced a new engine which is a 2755cc inline-4 common-rail diesel 1GD engine. The engine belongs to Toyota’s new GD diesel engine series. The new 2.8L engine is a turbocharged unit and comes with an intercooler. The motor makes around 175 BHP (130kW) at 3400 RPM and maximum torque of 450Nm between 1600-2400 RPM.
As for the tranmissions are concerned, you can either have the new 6-speed automatic sequential transmission or the 6-speed manual transmission.
Some of the new features in the new 2018 Revo include keyless (smart) entry with push start, Power and Eco modes for different types of driving, VSC, Downhill Assist Control and Hill Start Assist to name a few. Some of the new features are only specific to top of the line Revo V, whereas some are available in all variants. We will get you the complete list of new features soon.
