It seems that this year is not suitable for automaker all around the world. Many have recalled vehicles over severe problems. Moreover, just recently Nissan Motors, Japan’s second largest automobile production company has suspended the domestic production of vehicles on all of its six assembly plants for the Japanese market for two weeks to look into the matter of misconduct in the final inspection procedure of its cars. And now another automaker, hailing from Germany, BMW has recalled around 1 million vehicles in North America.

The plan to recall the automobiles were made over two problems that posed fire risks.

There is basically two separate recall from the company, first is BMW 3-series models from the year 2006 to 2011. The problem in these cars is that climate control system is vulnerable to overheat, which is dangerous for not only the car but also for the passenger. The company will be checking more than 672,000 cars.

Moving onward, the second recall will cover cars from 2007- 2011 BMW models that are equipped with a 6-cylinder engine. The problem in these vehicles is that the heater, which is specially designed to maintain and keep the crankcase ventilation from freezing, has the risk of short-circuiting.

According to the information provided by international media outlets, most of the recalls are from the United States of America while some are in Canada. The company said that they are not excluding other markets from the recall, if the need arrives, we will also recall them.
