CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) prices in Sindh have increased by PKR 1.70 per kg, which now stands at PKR 81.70. The previous price of CNG was PKR 80 per kg. According to Dawn from December 2016 till date, the prices of CNG have risen to PKR 14 per kg. It is to be noted here that just like how the government raises the prices of petroleum products now and then, CNG owners also increase the prices of CNG.

The price change is only for the province of Sindh. One of the reasons which representatives of CNG tell regarding the hike in prices is that usage of CNG has risen, as the public is using it more than before due to its high mileage and low cost. And the other reason is that there is a sharp surge in gross calorific value in bills by Sui Northern which is resulting in costing them much.
