Have a look at the cars Hyundai might display at Pakistan International Auto Show
Hyundai Nishat Motors is all set to display a number of its upcoming cars in this year’s Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS), which will be held in Lahore.
According to the details, Pakistan International Auto Show 2020 will be a 3-day event from 21-23 February 2020 organized by Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM). One of the largest auto shows of Pakistan will be held at Lahore International Expo Centre, and different auto manufacturers, auto parts manufacturers, suppliers, and auto service providers will take part in this year’s edition.
The event provides a great opportunity for all the leading brands in the market to introduce the most advanced technology and display their upcoming models. Hyundai Nishat is one of the most anticipated participants of the events as reportedly it will be showcasing models like Tucson, Elantra, and Sonata. These models are expected to make their way into the local auto market of Pakistan soon.

Note here that Hyundai Tucson will be the fifth vehicle of the company’s lineup in the local market. Previously, Hyundai Nishat has already launched several models as follows:
- Santa Fe
- Grand Starex
- Ioniq Hybrid
- Porter H-100
It is worth mentioning here that Hyundai Porter H-100 is a locally assembled commercial pickup offered by the automaker. Hyundai’s crossover SUV Tucson has already been spotted on the roads of Lahore on multiple occasions. The SUV was first displayed at the groundbreaking ceremony held back in December 2017.
The auto manufacturer is expected to introduce a 2.0-liter engine in its Tucson model based in Pakistan. The crossover SUV will, however, be available in both Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) options. This would also be another high-end vehicle in Hyundai’s lineup in Pakistan. The company is yet to introduce economy sector cars in the local sector ever since its return to the country.
On the other hand, Hyundai Elantra is another compact sedan car by the South Korean auto manufacturer, which is expected to be displayed on the show alongside Hyundai Sonata, a mid-sized car. These models are a result of extraordinary innovation in sedans that has already astonished the world. Note here that Hyundai Sonata has also been spotted doing test rounds on the roads of Lahore.
However, it will be interesting to see when the South Korean automaker decides to bring it to the local market of Pakistan. Nonetheless, the price of these models will be crucial in defining their success in the Pakistani auto market.

The company is eyeing to launch new vehicles every six months. Will Hyundai Nishat also bring a budget car for its customers in Pakistan this year? Share your thoughts in the feedback section and stay tuned to PakWheels blog for more updates on the automobile industry.
