A few days back, we heard the news of another MG car coming to Pakistan. It all started with Javed Afridi’s teaser of the MG 3 on Twitter. Afridi shared a video of the powerful and beautiful MG hatchback revving up on the road and asked his followers to suggest a price in Pakistan. Everyone made their guesses, but the internet went bananas after Afridi suggested a price tag of less than 2 million. This time, Afridi is back with an update that MG 3 will be here soon.
The interesting bit of this Tweet is that Afridi has tied the Yellow MG 3 with Peshawar Zalmi. Right in the feels of all the PSL fans!

A Look At The MG 3 Hatchback
MG 3 is a 1500cc 5-door subcompact hatchback. The car is available in the international market in its 2nd generation. Its 1.5-litre engine comes with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car has a sharp look and a set of premium features, such as cruise control, an 8” touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, electronic windows, speed-sensitive power steering, 6 airbags, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), hill hold control, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The best part about the MG 3 hatchback is its affordability. In the Chinese market, MG 3 costs between Rs. 1.74 million and Rs. 1.91 million. If the car comes with the same price bracket in the local market, it will be a game-changer. Pakistanis will get the option of an affordable hatchback other than Suzuki Cultus and Kia Picanto.
However, MG Motors is selling imported CBU units of its cars in Pakistan. The company will do the same with the MG 3. With the Customs Duty and other taxes, the price of this affordable hatchback will be doubled. So, how will MG sell this car under 2 million?
For now, we can all enjoy the news that another MG car is coming soon to Pakistan, that too in the color of our beloved PSL team, Peshawar Zalmi. For the price element, we’ll have to wait and see.
