The production of petroleum products has increased by more than 15pc in the first four months of the current fiscal year of 2017-2018. The latest report issued by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics revealed that POL products production has gone up by 15.06pc from July 17 to October 17.

According to BR, the High-Speed Diesel production went up by 16.23pc. But POL products that saw the decline in their production are jet fuel and lubricants. Jet fuel went down 4pc whereas lubricating oil production decreased by almost 10.5pc.
But comparing to the production of POL products of 2017 to 2016, an increase of 21.6pc was noted on month on month basis (Oct16 vs Oct17).
