PAMA – Car Sales Decreased By 29% Last Month

This month, again, we present insights into the earnings of local car assemblers based on last month’s sales, offering a detailed comparison of vehicles and companies. We’ll also delve into the latest figures from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report.

Following a massive increase of 73% in Jan’ 25, car sales have again witnessed a considerable nosedive last month. According to the report, the car makers sold 12,084 vehicles in Feb’ 25 compared to 17,010 units this January. Similarly, year-on-year sale has also grown by significant 50%. Local manufacturers managed to sell 9,711 cars in the corresponding time of last year.

Two & Three wheelers

Local motorcycle and three-wheelers sale slashed by 9% last month, with sales reaching 126,699 units. This is a 35% year-on-year increase compared to the 93,770 units sold in February 2024.

Atlas Honda, recorded a 15% month-on-month decrease of 6%, selling 108,169 units in last month compared to 115,557 units in Jan ‘25.

Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki also witnessed zero momentum. The company sold 2,359 bikes in February 2025, up from 2,348 units in Jan ‘25.

Yamaha Pakistan sold 455 bikes last month compared to 462 units in January 2025. Similarly United Motorcyles managed to sell 11,937 bikes last month.

Trucks & Buses

Sales of trucks and buses have been increased by whopping 222% last month selling 621 units compared to 193 in December2024.

Company-Wise Sales Breakdown

Toyota Pakistan’s sales decreased by 22%, selling 2,611 units last month compared to 3,335 vehicles in Jan ‘25.

Pak Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC) sales also reduced by 35%, selling 5,330 vehicles in this February against 8,250 cars in January 2025.

However, Honda Atlas sales narrate a similar story, saw a drop of 7%, selling 2,054 units last month compared to 2,210 units in Jan ’25.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Nishat sales observed an increase of nominal 1%, selling 1,052 units last month compared to 1,044 units in Jan ‘25.

Moreover, Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) sales declined by 56% vehicles last month, selling 883 vehicles last month against 2,010 this January.

It is worth mentioning that sales numbers for Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton are not included in the report as they are not PAMA members.

Car-Wise Sales Breakdown

Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) sold 3,561 units of Alto, 282 units of Suzuki Cultus, 207 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 651 units of Suzuki Swift, 9 units of Suzuki Bolan, 510 units of Suzuki Ravi and 110 units of Every.

Toyota Indus sold 1,820 units of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla and 2,149 units of Fortuner and Hilux.

Honda Atlas sold 1,876 units of City and Civic, and 178 units of BR-V and HR-V.

Hyundai Nishat sold 205 units of Elantra, 148 units of Sonata, 206 units of Porter, 355 units of Tucson and 138 units of  Santa Fe.

Sazgar Engineering sold 877 and 6 units of Haval series and Baic, respectively.
