What do people look for when buying a car or bike: Bursting the Myth
The latest PakWheels.com Automobile Industry Survey Report 2018 results have been announced and as expected the extensive exercise has lived up to its purpose. PakWheels.com conducts this unique survey every year for two main purposes:
- To know peoples’ buying and selling behaviors, trends and preferences
- Compare the latest survey results with previous results to analysis how peoples’ buying and selling behaviors, trends, and preferences have changed
According to the latest PakWheels.com Automobile Industry Survey Report 2018 results, car buyers had the following three determinative factors in their mind when they bought their car:
- Safety
- Comfort
- Fuel efficiency
The bike owners named the following three as the most determinative factors when buying their bike:
- Fuel efficiency
- Safety
- Comfort
It is interesting to note here that both the car and bike owners ranked “Resale” very low on the list (cars owners ranked Resale at no.11 and bike owners ranked it at no.9). This burst the myth that people buy cars and bikes in the hope of selling them fast at a higher price.
In 2017, respondents had ranked Resale towards the end as well. According to PakWheels.com Automobile Industry Survey Report 2017 results, car owners ranked Resale at no.11 (dead last on the list) and bike owners ranked the same factor at no.8.
So, in both 2017 and 2018, the Resale value of a vehicle did not play a determinative role in the buying process.
BS. If this was true, the current PKDM crap wouldn’t be selling like it is. This survey was conducted on a handful of more “aware” motorists who have their priorities straight. The majority of our consumers would have their preferences in the reverse order, except for environmental friendliness. That’ll be dead last on our lists no matter what.
Myth is busted.
Bubble bursts.
