A subcompact sedan, Proton Saga, has been spotted by one of our fellow PakWheelers.
Saga is being manufactured by a Malaysian Automaker, Proton whose MPV, Exora, has also been spotted a few days back. Globally, Saga comes in different engine and transmission options. The spotted sedan is equipped with a 1.3 L engine. It is interesting to mention here that the particular sedan has been in production for the last 30 years. Currently, the third generation of Saga is being sold by the company.

Note here that the spotted Saga is not imported by a consumer. Instead, Al-Haj Group has imported the car for test-drive purpose.
The Malaysian automaker – Proton has recently signed an agreement with Al-Haj Group. As per the agreement, Al-Haj Group will exclusively sell and assemble sedans, crossovers, SUVs, and hatchbacks of the Malaysian automaker in Pakistan. Al-Haj Group is also selling FAW vehicles in the country, so this new venture will undoubtedly diversify the automobile market.

In the local market, the spotted sedan’s competitors are Honda City and Corolla XLi and GLi.
