The Government of Pakistan has slashed prices of petroleum products by up to PKR 6.
It was being reported that the newly elected government will give relief to local consumers and reduce the prices of oil products in the country. And now as promised by the government, on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), it has lowered the prices of petroleum products for September 2018. The new prices are as follow:

Aside from the prices of petrol, kerosene, high-speed diesel, the rates of light-speed diesel has gone up by PKR 0.59 per liter.

A few days back, while talking to the media, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, the current petroleum minister, also hinted that government would change/revise the prices of petroleum products. He said that the government would be maintaining the taxes and rates of petroleum products in line with the rates of the international market.
