2016 Toyota Vios Facelift Revealed At The Beijing Motor Show

Toyota revealed its 2016 Toyota Vios sedan at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show in China. Toyota Vios is a 4-door compact sedan has been quite popular in Asia Pacific region. It is the evolved form of Toyota Belta and is also known as Yaris Sedan in few regions.

There have been rumors of Toyota Indus Motors locally assembling and launching the Vitz and Vios cars in Pakistan. But for now, there is no concrete evidence of that happening anytime soon. If Toyota Indus decides to launch this car in Pakistan, it will be falling in the same segment as the Honda City is in.

The 2016 Toyota Vios facelift features revamped exterior compared to its predecessor. You now get the new more aggressive front end with a massive matt black bottom grille. The front end now massive and is bulging out. The front bumper now also has two LED daytime running lights strips on both sides of the car. It is a facelift in its complete sense.

However, the rear is still mostly the same. The new rear lights resemble the lights of the previous model, and the bottom of the rear bumper is slightly move curved. Sides of the car are almost the same, and no much is going on there.

The Chinese-market Vios is powered by 1.3-liter and 1.5-liter 5NR-FE four-cylinder engines with Dual VVT-i, mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic. However, there is a rumor that Toyota will be offering the 2NR-FE engine as well as a CVT transmission for some markets as well.
