Lahore Man Finds Out Police is Using His Bike Stolen 8 Years Ago
A man in Lahore got shock of his life when he received an E-Challan for his bike stolen eight years ago. And making matters worse, he found out that police personnel are using his bike in Sabzazar neighborhood of the city.
In a video on social media, the man stated that his bike, Honda CD 70, was stolen from Mughalpura area of Lahore. “I filed an FIR but the bike was never found but now I received an E-Challan at my address,” the citizen said, adding that the E-ticket’s picture shows that policemen were riding his bike.
The person further said that he has filed multiple applications but nothing has come out of it. “I request CCPO Lahore to recover and handover my bike to me,” he said.
E-Challan Illegal
Another news related to this incident is that Lahore High Court today declared E-Challans illegal. In its verdict, the court said that Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) is issuing E-tickets through CCTV cameras illegally and without approval from the cabinet.
The court accepted all the applications against the E-Challan system in Lahore.
However, it seems that the system has proved to be helpful for the man as he found his stolen bike after almost a decade. And hopefully, police will hand the bike over to the victim soon.
