Before Bugatti finally unveiled the long anticipated replacement to the legendary Veyron at the Geneva Motor Show, they showcased a one-off concept car to show in which direction the company was headed, and it was in the form of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo. There is only one Vision Gran Turismo in existence. Bugatti had kept the car with itself, safe and sound until for now. And now it has come to light that the car has a new buyer…and that too a Saudi.

A Saudi prince named Badr bin Saud, whose net worth is in excess of US$ 21 billion, has just bought the very same Vision Gran Turismo that was showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And to make the deal legit, he decided to pick himself a standard Chiron as well for a good measure, if you could call it that.

Both hypercars are fitted with Bugatti’s 8.0-liter quad turbo W16 that pushes out mind boggling 1500bhp and 1180lb-ft to all four wheel accelerating the cars from standstill to 100kph in under 2.5 seconds. This isn’t the last that we’ve seen of the glorious Vision Gran Turismo before it’s inevitably stored away in a high-security garage. Bugatti has said that both cars will be making an appearance at the Pebble Beach for the 2016 Concours d’Elegance. Bugatti hasn’t revealed how much each car sold for but considering the fact that the base price of an average Chiron is US$ 2.6 million, expect the total cost to be in the excess of US$ 7 million.
