A comparative analysis of production and sales data of vehicles – January 2018
Pakistani auto industry has seen an exponential growth in last few years that has changed the whole scenario of sales and production of vehicles. Let’s have a look at production and sales data of vehicles released by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).

PakWheels.com has compiled the data of vehicle’s production and sales category wise for the month of January.
1300 CC and Above
Honda (Civic and City)
In the category of 1300 CC and above, 4,100 units of Honda (Civic and City) were produced, out of which 3,888 units were sold. Last year in 2017, the total of 3,800 units were produced in the month of January, and units sold were 4,002.

Suzuki Swift
Out of 532 produced units of Suzuki Swift, 512 units were sold in the month of January. However, if compared to 2017, the sales exceeded the no. of units produced.

Toyota Corolla
Toyota produced 4,325 units of Corolla, out of which 4,243 units were sold. If compared to January 2017; 4,967 units were produced, and units sold were 5,108, which means last year the sales exceeded the production.

Suzuki Cultus
Suzuki produced 2002 units of Cultus in the month of January, but the units sold were 2046. However, last year in January 2017, the units sold (1366) were less than the units produced (1926).

Suzuki WagonR
In January 2018, the overall units of Suzuki WagonR sold exceeded from the total no. of units produced; which was 2,550. The same was the case last year that the production was 1,536, and the no. of units sold were 1,602.

800 CC and Below 1000 CC
Suzuki Mehran
Total units of Mehran produced were 4,822, out of which 4,324 units were sold in the month of January 2018. Last year, in January the production was 3,404, but the sold units were 3,735.

Suzuki Bolan
Total units produced were 2,103, and no. of units sold was 2,208 in the month of January. In 2017, the total no. of units of Suzuki Bolan produced were 1,620 and units sold were 2,030.

Toyota Fortuner
The total no. of units produced of Toyota Fortuner was 452, and units sold were 465. However, in the year 2017 January, out of 207 units produced, 126 units were sold.

Honda BR-V
The total no. of units produced of Honda BR-V was 452, and no. of units sold were 500 in the month of January 2018.

Toyota Hilux
In January 2018, the total no. of units produced was 586, and units sold were 673. The units sold exceeded the production, just like last year January, where units produced were 417 and 541 units were sold.

Bikes
Honda
This year in January, total no. of Honda Bikes produced was 100,000 and no. of units sold were 100,011. However, in January 2017, the total no. produced was 86,100 and total units sold were 86,074.

Yamaha
The total no. of Yamaha bikes produced was 1,600, out of which 1,409 were sold this year in January. And in January 2017 the units produced were 1,275, out of which 800 were sold.

The total no. of Suzuki Bikes produced in January 2018 was 2,197, and units sold were 1,510. And in January 2017, the no. of units produced was 1,430, out of which 1,269 units were sold.

This year in January, the total units produced were 37,578 and total units sold were 37,644. However, last year in January 2017, the total no. of units produced and total no. of units sold were the same; 28,160.
