The South Korean automaker Kia has recently launched the Grand Carnival (3.3-liter engine vehicle) and K2700 (pickup) in the country. And after that, the flood of rumours, about the Kia cars, have been circulating on social sites. It became mainstream when some local media outlets reported that Kia would be launching its Rio Hatchback in July 2018 and that too in 1.4 million price bracket. PakWheels.com believes that the true spirit of the news lies in its authenticity and credibility and that’s why we contacted one of the Kia officials to check the credibility of the news, which is being reported by media outlets regarding their vehicle.

Upon reaching to the official, he asserted that all news and information being reported by media outlets regarding the launch date/time and price of Kia Rio is false and malafide. He further asserted that we haven’t even finalised the passenger cars we are launching in Pakistan, let alone setting the price of Rio.
The official further mentioned that they had displayed all sorts of cars alongside Kia Rio in their showroom and are also giving test rides to customers only for the sake of feedback and market research. It doesn’t mean that we will be introducing all of them, he explicitly said. We are researching the market and will introduce the vehicles according to the needs and preference of the local consumer, the official asserted. It is imperative to mention here that the company is indeed planning to launch passenger cars in the country to cater to need of the local consumer, however, as mentioned above the vehicles which the company will launch in the local market are still undecided.
